Got the same letter that people were getting from a Bill Hensley at Powerpoint Financial who were told to call (905) 598-4014. He is now using (905) 782-1411 as a return call number. Chances are good that when you call you will be told the box is full. This is definately a SCAM!!!!!! You may get to cash the check and send the payment but once the check gets cancelled he gets the $2985 and you get to reimburse the bank $2985. Keep it for a talk piece or shred it, but if I were you don't cash it.
