Thanks for your posting- it was quite similar to the call i just got- thick accent, but the guy did seem convincing..I too was wondeing why 'Matthew Jones' had such an accent-
He wanted to confirm my Credit card number and birthday- i told him i would call back, since I wanted to chat with my husband as he was in the background saying NO way!
I too was given business name, located in Markham...but after the call I googled them- and scam came up with a ridiculous amounts of hits-

I got a call a few weeks ago from a man that had a very heavy accent and he argued and got really upset with me when I didn't co-operate with him. When he first called he asked for my husband, but once I told him that he wasn't home they said then mrs ****** you have a credit of $******* and asked me all this info about my name address and card crap. I finally hung up and he called me back 7 times after. Later that day he called back and left 3 messages. He called again 3 days straight.Today I got another one and said the same crap. Gave me his name Adam Brown telephone number (905) 595-4511 told me he was from LIFG and his employee number and said "why would I make this up"? I just got tired of it and hung up. The whole thing is a scam.Thank you everyone for makeing me make the right and safe decision. THANK YOU!! I really mean it!!

I got a marketing call even though I am on the do not call list (Ontario, Canada). I was told it was Liberty International Financial, tel. (905) 595-4511. Another junk call!

I want to know if this company is really legit

I ALSO GOT A CALL. I PERSONALLY THINK ITS A SCAM ! ITS NOT EVEN WORTH IT.
