I received a call from (905) 475-3248 claiming she was calling from Engineering Magazine and wanted to update our records. She confirmed the President and Ops Managers names, our business address and their emails which were all correct information she had on file. She then asked for my name and title but before I gave it to her I let her know under no circumstances did I want any correspondence. She stated that both the President and Operations Manager receive a paper copy of their magazine and that it is available on-line if I was interested. At that point the call ended and I searched to phone number only to find out that it is listed to a company named Custom Equipment Inc. based out of Markham, Ontario. I decided to call the number back to ask why they represented themselves as a Magazine but were not. The phone rang several times until it sounded like it was re-directed to another line which continued ringing upwards of 30 times. It then sounded like either someone picked up the phone and hung it up or the line just disconnected. I am unsure what the scam is here but I definitely smell somehting "Phishy" here.

Update to my last post. I have called this number back multiple times and have only had continued ringing followed by disconnection. I just now phoned again for the 7th time and rang twice and someone definitely picked up the phone and immediately hung it back up. I have tried to call back two more times and the line is now busy!
