I just want people to know that the Law office of Paul Kupferstein & Associates IS LEGIT! If you get a call from Mr. Hazel, he is a lawyer and what he is telling you is most likely truthful. My situation was that I owed The Cash Store for over a year and after a certain point The Cash Store gives it over to this law firm for them to contact the person owing. I called the Cash Store Head Office to confirm that this law office is the one they deal with and that what he is saying is true and it was all verified. They can sue you and take you to court for 5 x the amount you owe. I JUST went thru this on the weekend and paid my debt off because if I didn’t they would proceed to court. I can’t afford that so I came up with the $1279.45 to pay it. If you are reasonable and not rude to them, then they will be nice back and Mr. Hazel actually gave me advice even tho his client is The Cash Store. Don't EVER give money to anyone other than who it is you owe. If they ask you to deposit the money into a bank account, it is not right, but in my case I was asked to go directly to the Cash Store I borrowed from and pay them directly and I did. It was NOT a scam so check into it when you get a call. Phone the head office of the place where you got the loan or whatever it was you owed money to and ask them to confirm the details of what the law office has told you. Paul Kupferstein is NOT a scammer regardless of what others are saying. In my experience it was LEGIT and verified by the place I owed money to. Take it seriously and investigate what is being told to you and proceed. Proceed cautiously obviously because you don't want to turn a large amount of money over to the wrong person but if you owe the debt, it is most likely NOT A SCAM!!! I don’t know why so many people are saying it is a scam. Maybe there are people out there pretending to be the Law Office of Paul Kupferstein and trying to get you to deposit money into a their bank account, but there really is a legitimate Law office by this name and they represent many different places who are owed money like pay day loan companies. Like I said if you do owe money to a company, contact them first after you get a call from a lawyer and confirm the information is true! You don’t want to end up owing larger amounts of money and have your bank account frozen and wages garnished because that’s what will happen. I sympathize with you. I just dealt with this over the weekend and it’s stressful trying to come up with $1279 in 3 days but I luckily was able to. My e-mail is below of you want to ask me any questions. Hello babygirl07 I was in the same situation and yes they can do all of this the thing is when you called the cash store they sent you back to that hazel guy so you have to deal with him.....do yourself a favor and pay off what you owe cuz that place is a law firm just make sure you call the law firm and arrange to pay the cash store dont send the law firm money but make sure this hazel guy lets you pay the cash store and pay that right away...

I got a phone call a moment ago, from Richard Clasen. He sounded official and all, but the office sounded very quite as opposed to what we normally hear when people call, and i find this very suspicious.

My mother recieved a message on her answering machine today from a man named Mr. David. However, Mr. David left the message for my mother's husband and Mr. David requested that my step-father call his "law office" immediately (which is quite strange due to the fact that their phone number is listed under my mom's name, and better yet her maiden name!). Well needless to say my mother called Mr. David back on my step-father's behalf and Mr. David backed right off and said " disregard the (answering machine) message! So my mom called me and I immediately did a search and found this website. My mom was shocked!

i can't believe that this is still going on.  I was called on aug 19, 2008 about a bill that my daughter had with bell canada.  she lives about an hour away from me but supposedly the bill was to have been sent to my address.  huh?  strange or what.  well anyway when i talked to mr. david he was very rude and accused me of throwing the bill in the garbage.  NOT LIKELY PAL.  I called him back to make arrangements to pay the bill and he told me i could deposit it into an account.  still have it written down and have also passed it along to the police.  Anyway that was too strange for me..  I called him back and told him that if i didn't see a bill or a copy of a bill he would get nothing.  I told him i was told not to pay it by a lawyer, which is true.  I haven't heard from them since and don't expect to.  imagine sueing u $3000 for a $300 bill that never did exist. But my advice to those that do have ligit loans please pay them directly to the source where u got them from..  save yourself alot of headaches.

I received a call from Mr. David telling that I was being sued for 5,000 and that the police were on their way to my house to take me to jail till my court date. he then told me that I could go to the bank and pay 750 I then went to the bank and paid it now I see this site and realize I just got screwed for 750 I could have used for christmas for my kids.

hey there, take a look at the collections laws and for your reassurance, if you are on disability, welfare/OW, workmans comp, ei, etc. then NO collections agency can take even 1 cent from your cheque :)Today, I received a phone call about the cash store and i only owe 580 bux and Ms. Mora stated that I owe over 2300 bux!!!  I have been looking into all this and i keep finding more and more b***s*** as i call around and get down to the bottom of all this... The stress they put on people is wrong!!! I am currently in college just scraping by trying to get an education and better myself and pay my debts off and now im being threatened and put under pressure which is now taking out of my school time and homework because i have to deal with this crap all day... I will go after them for harrassment and for breaking canadian collection Laws and Legislation, and you should too... Paul Kupferstein & Assoc. (905) 474-3535) is who called me and they have already been fined numerous times for what they are doing and still continue to do it... They should be shut down!!!
