Received a call from this number this morning. Super sketchy cause the call display name on my iphone showed "923417991072" so I didn't answer. No message left. They called again (just after I finished a security update on iphone) so I answered and it was a male with East Indian accent barely able to speak english. I was unable to understand and immediately hung up as it seemed like a scam or phone hack attempt. noticed later the actual phone number and that it's from Alberta. Obviously something fishy going on -  BEWARE!!!

Got a call from this number (780) 702-7489 and he asked for Mrs. xxxx  Had an accent and sounded far away. I asked what it was regarding, he said it is the bank calling about your credit card.   I abruply said "what?" and the line went dead.  I am not in Alberta and my bank is BC only so I know it was some kind of scam.  What, I don't know.

OMG  I did not know that this number has made disturbance in so many lives. I receive calls from (780) 702-7489.  When I got to know the number from Alberta, there was an immense pleasure on my face, Hur hurrrrry I got the job because I had taken tests for a position over there.lolzzzzzzzzzzz Upon picking the phone i received no answer. when I try to call them back the phone was busy for long time. Then I came over here and came to know that this number really teases people just for nothing. I request all of you to take some remedial steps (I prefer one that each of us should contact our MPs for the concern) because as there frequent calling teases us we should do the same in response to avoid such kind of things with other Canadians. Got another call from this # at 8:30 this morning (Saturday).  Didn't answer because I don't answer when I don't recognize a # or it says Unknown Caller.  Would like this to STOP.

On my caller ID the name came up as "Khumar" when I searched it later it said it was a landline for Edmonton, Alberta of Canada.
I wouldn't pick it up if I were you. All I have to say is THANK-YOU FOR CALLER ID.
