Got a call to inform me that I had deserved a trip for paying my credit card on time. Began to ask me info on my credit call, which I didn't give. Very bad quality of reception. Appeared very suspicious.

I just went OFF on this guy. Not sure of his supposed company name as his accent was so thick. However, his scam was to tell me that my windows computer was infected with a bad file and that he'd walk me through fixing it. He read from a script and told tried to scare me with all sorts of 'bad things' that were happening to my computer.I asked how he got my name and knew that I had a bad file on my computer. He said their center had been alerted to it so they were reaching out to me to help fix it. All I needed to do was log into my computer and do what he told me to do. Um, I don't think so buddy. And by the way, I don't use a Windows-based computer. He got agitated with me. And, I got agitated with him. I gave him a few profanity laced (sorry, hadn't had lunch yet) thoughts about his scam and then I hung up.

Got a call today sometime this morning. Did not pick up 'cause I was sleeping. After reading everyone's comments about being on the Do-Not-Call List and how they're outraged that they're still getting these kinds of calls. Hello! They're scammers! Do you think they give two sh*ts about doing anything legit?? If they're asking for your credit card information and being pushy about it, they're obviously scammers! Unfortunately, law enforcement have bigger fish to fry than going after these scammers, who are a dime a dozen. You shut down one, ten more pop up. You want politicians to do something about it? Good luck! They're too busy lining their own pockets with tax payers' money to give two sh*ts about stopping harassing phone calls. Sadly, the only thing you can do is not answer the phone when you see an unfamiliar number, especially when it's long distance. If they're legit, they'll leave you a message. Peace!

I don't know if it's a scam or not - but I've found most "780" #s are for donations. I've stopped answering them.

Have had 2 calls so far from this number. Heavy accented male says he's from the Windows department, and that I had a problem with my Windows. So I decided to have a bit of fun with him and play completely dumb - pretended I thought he was talking about the windows in my house. I kept going on and on about how it's February and it's a bad time of year to fixing windows because the house will get very cold. He tried saying he needed access to my "online windows" and I said why can't he use the door like everyone else? I said in Canada we generally don't climb into our houses through the windows; only the burglars do that - and then I asked him if HE was a burglar. He hung up on me!!
