I received a call from this number, but oddly in the name field was another number which could be traced to Nigeria.  Think this phone number is being used for some purpose that is not good.
Also, be aware that area code 780 is northern Alberta, Canada.

Jokers called, asking to change telephone service - first time they called, multiple call times later after, did not answer then a few seconds later they call back with unregd, private number trying you to pick up, its literally a few seconds later. Theyre idiots!

I guess people are adding these no. to their telephone block out list -  so thats why they try the private / unregistered number after.

For the loosers out there get off your f**ing indian lazy a**es and either (a). Get a job like the rest of us Canadians. or  (b) F***k off back to india!

I just went OFF on this guy.  Not sure of his supposed company name as his accent was so thick.  However, his scam was to tell me that my windows computer was infected with a bad file and that he'd walk me through fixing it.  He read from a script and told tried to scare me with all sorts of 'bad things' that were happening to my computer.

I asked how he got my name and knew that I had a bad file on my computer.  He said their center had been alerted to it so they were reaching out to me to help fix it.  All I needed to do was log into my computer and do what he told me to do.  Um, I don't think so buddy.  And by the way, I don't use a Windows-based computer.  

He got agitated with me.  And, I got agitated with him.  I gave him a few profanity laced (sorry, hadn't had lunch yet) thoughts about his scam and then I hung up.

This number called me today, name came up as shahid, trying to sell me duct cleaning form Twon Duct Cleaning, I asked him why is calling me since I am on the NDNCL, he told me the system calls random numbers, so if that is the case, how do you comply with the do not call list? He has no answer, I asked for a supervisor, what a scam, he tell em to go back to sleep.
I filed a complaint with CRTC, I encourage everyone to do this, probably they will not do anything about it but at least it does scare the caller.

I have gotten 3 calls in 2 days. My number is unlisted and I'm on the do not call list. When I ask how they got my number, he started giving me attitude and demanded that I purchase a cell phone. Kept cutting me off mid-sentence.The numbers showing on my phone were (780) 702-7489 and 1 time it came up as (519) 777-6667. I do believe this is a scam because normal sales people usually don't bully people into purchasing something. Most sales people are persistent but will try hard not to offend. These people could care less about offending you.
