called May 28... we dont answer numbers that we dont know...so no one answered.. no message left.. showed on caller ID as SAMRemember people, they have a way to change what appears on the caller ID to make it look like they are who they say they are...unless you initiate a call DO NOT RELEASE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION.. if it was the Feds calling you..they would have sent snail mail paper to back up any phone call they might make...and the bank never calls and asks you for any information on the phone...they tell you to visit the branch.

I got a call from this number today. The as***** on the other side introduced him self as someone from the Environmental Department. I thought this is interesting, how can I help you today. I could tell he's not from the Environmental Dept, so he asked me about cleaning the dust and stuff in my house.
I asked him again, what's your name, and where are you calling from again, he said some name and that he's calling from the Environmental Dept, I was what's your Full name, and who do you report to?
He cut the call this ba***** after I asked him that info. I could tell its a scam, and tried to call back but the number is of course busy.

I just went OFF on this guy.  Not sure of his supposed company name as his accent was so thick.  However, his scam was to tell me that my windows computer was infected with a bad file and that he'd walk me through fixing it.  He read from a script and told tried to scare me with all sorts of 'bad things' that were happening to my computer.

I asked how he got my name and knew that I had a bad file on my computer.  He said their center had been alerted to it so they were reaching out to me to help fix it.  All I needed to do was log into my computer and do what he told me to do.  Um, I don't think so buddy.  And by the way, I don't use a Windows-based computer.  

He got agitated with me.  And, I got agitated with him.  I gave him a few profanity laced (sorry, hadn't had lunch yet) thoughts about his scam and then I hung up.

This number comes up on my caller id every day I don't know who it is

I get a call from (780) 702-7489 numerous times a week. I never answer and they never leave a message. I do have my number on the national do not call list but they STILL keep calling me. I always figure if it's important they will leave a message but never do. It's getting quite irritating!
