Received a call from "Stanton Enterprise" at work today. A lady was trying to sell me advertising space in their Missing Kids Magazine. I obviously had some questions about the magazine regarding distribution, demographics, etc. but as soon as I started questioning anything she was very anxious to get off the phone. I asked for a rate card, she said she didn't have one. She refused to give me a phone number where I may contact her and gave me a fake email address. Totally scammer.

If you're looking for a job, maybe you shouldn't be sleeping in so long as to miss phone calls!!!

For those who don't know..........The only ones taking a risk is the company calling you.As an advertiser for 8 years I have never had a problem.Nor have I ever been overbilled.This company takes serious precaution to protectThe consumers.I have always gotten exactly what I was told.Those people work pretty hard to help what I Can see on these posts is a pretty ungrateful community.Clearly these posts reflect personal issues, not business.Get a grip people.

Its Cedar Publishing.   I take it that they are looking for a company to advertise in their publications however they will say that there is some 'tie in' to a respectable organization which there is not.I also take it odd that because someone calls our company an asks to speak with the boss, that the boss is just sitting there waiting for their phone call and that his assistant is not going to screen his calls.   When asked what this is regarding, they say they will call back and quickly hang up.   Then lo and behold, they will call the next day etc.   We did call Cedar Publishing and demanded that they stop calling our company but I dont think this is going to help and at that we are on the Do Not Call List, yet since we have been on this, we get now 2 to 3 phone calls everyday from some outfit trying to peddle their wares.  Seems that since the spam and filter blockers have stopped all the emails we are back to the old phone and bother companies etc.

I hate these calls. I am in Advertising and hate the negativity theses people bring to the industry.  Got a call today from (780) 701-3728. Didn't answer, but after reading this I wont. Scammers.

this call came in on 15/09/11  the said it is the missing kids news paper from edmonton.  I asked for the name of the owner / president and I was told his name was Moe >>  Naothing else.  I asked for a written letter to be sent to our physicial adress and was told they had a web site.  Any one can have a web site..  They wanted me to buy an add and they would not charge my credit card until I received a copy of the paper.  

I asked how they got our nimber and did not get an answer...
