Obviously you've never been scammed if you can say that and/or you're the company itself.
Any legit company doesn't take that risk as they get a confirmed order before printing ANYTHING.  
On legit companies, you usually pay a down payment before the ad goes out.  Hmmm... makes sense doesn't it?  Nobody runs an ad and then says "oh, by the way you owe me now" unless there some kind of scam artists.  Who wants to do business with people like that?

Got a call from this number today but it woke me up so I didn't answer. All I know is that area code 780 is Alberta because I tried to do a reverse look-up of the phone number in case it was someone replying to my job applications.

I had a call from this # (780) 701-3728 it was a women asking "can I speak with the owner"
I said "can I let him know what it is regarding"
She said "yep, advertising"
I said "he will not be interested. Can I ask what company you are calling from?"
She said "EXCUSE ME, who is this"
I said "I  am told by the owner when someone is calling regarding advertising or websites to let him know he will not be interested. Can I ask what company you are calling from?"
She said "YOU MOST CERTIANLY CAN NOT!!!!" And she hung up on me.
This women is rude and extremely unprofessional. How do they expect to get business with an attitude like that.

This is Cedar Publishing.  They were sued a couple of years ago by the Edmonton Police Service because they were using the EPS's name to promote their magazine (and had no legitimate connection to the police service).They are scammers misrepresenting themselves with the goal of getting you to part with your advertising dollars.  Do not give one penny to them.  If they call trying to sell you advertising in their magazine, hang up, call whichever organization it is they're impersonating this time, and report them.Apparently they are slow learners.  Either that or they enjoy being sued.

This is cedar publishing, which will try to sell advertising under Seniors Magazine or phone book. Over a year later they still call me, from (780) 701-3712, now under this new number (780) 701-3728. I just have all their numbers under Cedar don't answer, so I don't and when they leave messages I just delete them. Tried to get me to advertise over a year ago I said send me info in an email to I can look at it.They agreed but it never happened, but I did get a proof and bill in the mail, I called them and said I was not interested, they used fowl language and threatened me when I refused to pay. It is now over a year later and I still will not take their calls and have never paid the bill. Even if they send it to a bill collector I will not pay, I have a fax stating I would not do business with them and I never approved the advertising. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE, they will harass you for months, years, and are totally unprofessional.
