I received a call yesterday, first from (780) 669-8564, I think he said his name was Michael, an Australian accent.  He called back today twice, first from (403) 770-9667, then I asked him to call my home number and he called the second time from (780) 669-8564.  Said he a guy named Jeff who was interested in my truck.  Said their company deals in high-interest loans to those with poor credit ratings.  Same as above, pay to get things started and he wanted the VIN for my truck so they could make sure it's clean.  I asked if I could pay the $389 after Jeff looked at my truck and he said that I could not because the tax man would then be involved.  I asked for a copy of their statment that gaurantees the refund of the $389 if the sale does not happen.  He was sounding very convincing up to this point.  He quickly asked for my email address, said their administration department would email it out, but he suddenly had to go because he had someone on the other line and he would call me tommorrow.  Yah, we'll see if he does.  I wonder if he has Immigration papers to run what sounds like a scam???

I've also had calls from both numbers about our vehicle.  We've had calls from "Jack", "Mark" and "John".  Very similar story.  He said the buyer would not come to test drive the vehilce until I gave him my bank info to pay for the bank draft.  Why would I pay someone to buy my car??? SCAM!  He also said the deal happened quickly - within 3 days - and that when the buyer came to test drive the vehicle, I was not to let he/she drive. I wanted to check out the company - and never called them back.  Also, the 780 # is no longer in service.
