BEWARE of these calls. The scam is to have you answer the survey and then to call you back, note that you win a prize for taking part and then get you bank account information. The call I received noted it was an "Air Quality Research Survey". When I try to return call just rings busy. Further investigation came up with Telemarketers of course.

I have called my local RCMP, updated the local Lung Association (as they are named in the Alberta scam) and emailed phonebusters.com.

Called at 1030 this morning, then again at 12:06 and AGAIN at 2:58. No messages.. I have told them at least three times that I will not respond and am not interested.  Next stop- CRTC, I guess. Name comes up as "GT GROUP TELECOM SERVICES CORP"  Interweb tells me this:

Appears to be a phone bank operation (sweat shop?) employing mainly "New Canadians" who are working in English as a 2nd language and who seem to have to meet a daily quota in order to keep their jobs.  If I could only get a street address I might pass the complaint on to the WCB about working conditions and see if that has any more effect than being in the don't call list....
