This is definitely a scam. I called the number and entered bogus information for card number, expiration, and pin. It accepted it. These people need to be reported.

1 feb 2009   i am the third one on here to get a text or call from this number today.  the text said, " Dear Credit union customer, we regret to inform you that he had to lock your bank account access. Call (647) 827-2796 to restore your bank account."  Clearly a scam.  Almost tempted to call just to see what they say.    the text said it was coming from "8877"

where do they get our numbers from?
