Just got a text message that says I won a $1,000 in a Walmart Holiday Shopping Spree Contest.  I will avoid all contact since it is a spammer.

Just got the same text as everyone else here.  "Hi its Tracy, remember me?" blah blah blah, included a link.  I'm blocking the numbebr.

I receivedthe following text msg from 804-873-2940:  "You have just won a $1000 Walmart Gift Card, enter "1000" at http://walmart.com.promotwm/  After I entered the code,  I saw a timer showing the number of minutes and seconds remaining and a red tab on which to click.  I suspected it was a scam and that the tab might be a link to a virus.  Everything lookded even more suspicious when minutes later my husband received the same text on his phone from 804-873-5229.

same message to mr, hi this is tracy remember me? i just saw your profile...wtf? what are they trying to get? I went to the public libraries computer and went to the link but didn't proceed past the entry point. Looks like total scam central. They want your email.

I got the same number. Do not click on the link or Reply. It is a scam!
