Similar as above. $300 spent on e-bay. Wanted me to check if I had lost my card. I hung up.

called me at quarter to 8 this morning and tried the same thing to me. Hung up...

Similar. Caller said he was calling from Visa headquarters. Said there was a $300 from e-bay and was calling to check charges.

Similar to others posted. Said $300 was charged to my card at 4 AM. When I asked what company she was with she said my royal bank card. I don't deal with royal bank and hung up

Called at 7:30 am about a Visa card. It’s a scam.

I received a call this morning that's he's calling from the Visa security dept and that an online purchase of $300 was done on my Visa. I asked which card, and replied my debit visa, I don't have have and told him as such, he said sir, not your Visa, it's your debit card. I asked him if it was my debit, who do I bank with, no reply, so I asked him to wait a moment, I'll check my account and he said "No, don't do that it's not secured". Again asked him to wait 5 seconds, I was logged into my account, he hung up.

Called twice this morning saying my credit card was charged. Hung up quickly the next time - asked them not to call back the second time. No! He said - you don’t understand - this is the fraud department calling from headquarters. Ironic that they are calling from the fraud dept but are frauds themselves.

I received a call this morning at 8:00 from a man with an East Indian accent. He asked for me by my full name. He said he was from the CIBC Visa Fraud department and wanted to verify if I had made any online purchases early this morning at 6:00 am. There was a charge for $300 and a transfer for $1100 by Western Union on my account. He would only provide the first four digits of “4506” for the card number. He asked me to access my computer and open a web browser and press the CTRL and R keys - which I did not do. He said this was necessary to help check my account & to send me papers to dispute the charges. When I asked to get a phone # to call back the Visa Fraud Department to verify his claim, he said that he would have to allow these charges to go through. I cut the phone call off at this point.

Got a call this morning. Toronto number. Lady with Indian accent said visa fraud and there was a problem with online banking. There was a charge at 4 am for 300. I asked how visa had access to my online banking and she yelled at me. I asked what bank she said TD. I don’t even have a TD account. Should be reported to police.

I received a call this morning at 830am stating that he is a calling from Visa fraud department and I was charged $300 on my visa. he wanted me to go check my online to verify the transaction. I hung up they called back did not answer.

A man with an East Indian accent called at 8:10 this morning saying that he was calling from the Visa Fraud Department and that my card had been charged $300 this morning and if I had done that. I told him that I don't have a Visa card and then he said it was my debit card and asked if I online shop and if I have a computer. That is when I hung up. This is a Toronto number.

Sounded like a call centre as noted above....Indian accent...caught me off guard as its a "legit" Toronto area code...Called cannot be blocked by my Bell blocking feature..

A room full of Indian accents. Chatter Chatter Chatter. "VISA Fraud Department"
Need to blast an air horn into the phone while on speaker to deafen each of them one by one.

"Scam" caller said he was from Visa fraud and asked for me by name.Visa confirmed no calls from their security department to me.
