I just received a call from the same number (647) 288-1790, game me his employee contact id #11905, name was James McDiffe, strong Indian accent, email support @ esolving.com in Sault Lake City. Sounded very legit but i knew this was a scam. He said he was calling right from my computer and was reported i was having issues. I told him i would call back and checked the computer right away and saw this, thanks everyone you confirmed what i already knew!!!

They also called me up and provided the support. It took around 35 mins to resolve and charged me a nominal amount of $47. Its worth.

I got the same call today. A woman said she was calling regarding my microsoft genuine licensing. I told her i would not discuss anything with her and I doubt Bill Gates would waste money calling me.Then i hung up.

Just got their call this afternoon, didn't answer but found this when I looked up the number. I got this call a few times before when used to work in a call center from Microsoft, and believe me, this is a scam.

these people are ridiculous a guy with a foreign accent (like indian sorry punjab for better words) said his name was Mr. Allen wanted me to go offline and let them fix my windows errors I have no errors oh my lord who are these people???? Told him to put me on the dop not call list! Thanks but no Thanks these people are relentless report them to the better business bureau!

Online PC Care called me and tried to convince me there were severe problems and viruses on my machine. They tried to charge me over $160 to "fix" them.
This is a scam. Nothing is wrong with my machine. Every machine will have warning messages in your event viewer over a period of time for many possible reasons (i.e. you mistype your password and will will log a warning message).
Online PC Care tried to convince me there was a 12-Month Microsoft warranty on my computer that had expired. Another lie.... My system was only 2 months old but they kept insisting this "fake" warranty had expired.
Online PC care even tries (in the text above) to make themselves look credible by listing themselves as a "genuine tech support company" when, in fact they are the scammer described in that same paragraph.
If you get a call from these guys, contact the authorities. They are your best ally in the war on scammers such as these.
I will credit them with one statement though. On the last line of thier web-site "scammer" section, they state "Be safe while surfing over the internet! Don't be a victim to these malicious Scams!". That is good advice.
