Just received a voice message from (613) 927-9688 "this is a final call from CRA return call immediately else and "we are filing a lawsuit against you." Checked this board and as i guessed it is a fraud. Beware friends.

Got a call from this number today, sounds like a scam and these comments confirm that.I got a recipe from the CRA two weeks ago saying I had a 0 balance.

I had a message left on my answering machine. Yes, it's a scam.First clue was the bad english grammar and secondly, CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) can't legally leave that kind of info (lawsuit) on any recording device like they did with me. Thirdly, it should be a toll free number, not a 613 area code.FYI: The 1-888 # for CRA on the back of the tax returns/statements you get from them. Always use official numbers to call CRA. However, they are getting inundated with calls because of this scam so good luck trying to reach someone!
