I want this company stop calling me!

I got a number of calls some months ago, then peace for a few months and it started over again today. The snag is that the Govmt's No-call list does NOT apply to companies that you do business with. So if you have an MBNA card, you're fair game. My suggestion is: there's a phone number for client service printed on your credit card. Use it, just say "I just got an unwanted call from your telemarketing crew" and hang up. The bad news is, this may be time-consuming while they put you on hold with the ol' "our agents are busy" routine. So better still, by hook or crook, find the extension number for some vice-president and call HIM (or her).

I just got a call from this number as well.  Been getting them for a while.  I'm going to call Telus and have it blocked.

Take note, MBNA - I will be cancelling my accounts with you if these calls don't stop.Who wants to be called away from something they're doing, to answer a ringing phone with no-one on the other end?

I looked on the MBNA site under their privacy policy and found 1-+1 866-845-0980.  I called this number and talked to a guy who said he would remove my number from their call list.  I told him I don't even have an MBNA account and don't like getting woken up 5 times a day when I'm trying to sleep (I work midnights).  He apologized and said it would be removed, but may take a couple days to get into their system.  I'll see if the calls end....
