I knew about this scam a while ago and I played with him for a bit. He got mad and called me poor.

This lady(sounded like from India)called and said there was something wrong with my computer. I said this is impossible and they hung up.

this guy called me and booked an appointment with me and then didn't show up.

I have answered this number as well as (778) 329-0323 and 0324. They were all from my roommate who was vacationing abroad using Skype. Obviously scammers are using Skype as well.

scammers use voip services to telemarket because it's cheap.  if the telemarketer calls from a hidden caller ID it's most likely a scammer (duh).

sometimes a provider can NOT accept blank/private/invalid incoming caller id's.  in this case, the routing path would not accept the invalid/blank/private caller ID and attached a voip number access point that is local to the receiver's area.

i know this because i have used several voip services, everytime i call my other voip line using call block, this number (604) 678-9476 (or any other multitutde of numbers) shows on my voip call logs.

in short: a telemarketer called a you using a blocked Caller ID because they didn't want you to be able to call them back.  obviously a scammer.  However, the scammer's caller ID was invalid, so a voip access point was used as their caller id.  these voip access points (i don't know the technical name) is not able to receive incoming calls.

This # called me this morning and said there was a problem with my Microsoft.  I told them that I was unable to talk and ask them to call back.  The man then got really beligerent and started to yell at me.  I hung up.

Got a call from this number too. However it was simply a friend using SkypeOut.

I just received a call from this number... I didn't answer as I almost never answer numbers I don't recognize, then within  mins  I received another call from another number I didn't recognize (604) 638-5789 and then about a min later another call from a different number (604) 630-0300. I called all three of them back and they all just gave me the same message that they were out of service and had been disconnected. Beware of these two numbers too!
