Just picked it up and a mandarin recording (lady's voice) was played. Said something about the olympics, I hung up.

A call -- early afternoon on Jan 17. A pause for a blip-out (the sound of a disconnection due to battery death or time out).

Called me today, lots of noise and breathing. Said they were from A-star Marketing but I couldn't find that company listed anywhere.Very suspicious

well tell u what. this number is usually displayed when people call using a calling card.  yeah it could be scammers also using calling cards to place their call. but it could be someone u know. it can be from anywhere in the world.  I have had people call me from the US, from Asia and from Europe when this number displays. so no worries.

I got this call like 5 times in a row

Okay. I just recieved a call from the same number. If someone above says it is from skype I am inclined to believe them. Reason being is I didnt pick up and instead the person left a message on my voice mail. In my voice mail it was my girl friend calling from Japan. I called the number back and it of course was not in service. I think the number is just some sort of intermediary that connects long distance callers to local calls making it seem like it is a local call. Hope that solves the above comments
