Some woman asked for me by name, was rude to my wife before the phone was handed to me. Asked if I live at "x" address which was wrong. I said no and she gave a canned apology and hung up.

They are a scam. They pretend to be MS Windows techs and try to sell you a Registry scanner. DO NOT believe them when they say your computer is ready to crash!

Calls and keeps hanging up

Got a call from this number at 2:41 A:M Aug 18 2011 but was sleeping so did not answer it.  Wondering who this could be calling from this number at this hour of the night.

On Monday july 5th, 2010 at 11:54 am, a Pakistan or Indian guy called my house saying that he is from T- Mobile and wanted to offered me their services. I told him No, Thanks also stop calling me every single day when i told you guys that I'm not interested on your service, and i hung up the phone. A minute later ( 11:55 am ) he calls back and told me " you are f***ing b***h "

First they call me from this # 012-3456
Then, he called me from (519) 663-0647 to insult.

This is a VOIP (and probably a Skype) gateway, not a personal number. That means you can get 1000 different people calling out through it, some of them your mom or your buddy overseas, others being people trying to hide behind the gateway to do Bad Things. I know this because I use a VOIP provider so that people long distance can get a hold of me without paying long distance, and when I forward that VOIP phone number to my cellphone, it goes through this number (and this is what shows up on my caller ID when people call me.)

Got a call from the "Bank of Canada". I knew instantly this was fraud. He knew my name and said had I received the information about a certified cheque. I told him I thought he was funny and hung up. He then called me back within a minute using "unknown caller". He wanted to know why I hung up on him and I told him there was no such thing as the Bank of Canada and this was a fraud call. He told me I didn't hear what he needed to say and how did I know it was fraud. I told him I worked for a credit card company and knew there was no such bank. I hung up and called the police.
