This is a fraud number, they target senior telling them that a family member was in a car accident in Mexico City. They try to get them to send 2100$ through money gram. I work at a senior home and they have tried this with two of my residents in just the last week. Different people were called and it was the same story. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY

Yeah, the same has been happening to me and when I call back this number, it sounds a dial-tone. Very strange. Someone has already flagged this number as a fraud scam: http://www.numberinvestigator.com/phone/(514) 874-1957.html

i just got off the phone with videotron after receiving many calls from "(514) 874-1957".  they told me to do the following:1- as soon as you hang up from receiving a call from that number dial *57   this automatically sends the number to the police.2- the police will only take seriously three *57 calls for the same number.3- after the third time, the police should call you to ask about the calls you have been receiving.4- the police will then be able to contact the security dept. of your provider to get more information on "(514) 874-1957.that was the only solution provided by videotron.  I'm still not happy about the fact that I have to do all the work!!good luck!

Just received a call from (514) 874-1957.After I said : « Hello ? », there has been a few second delay before the answer, like the one we get when we receive a call from a telemarketing firm.A man said : « Hello Grand-Pa ! »I said : « You got the wrong number. »He said : « Sorry. » and he hang up.The tone was so weird that I googled the number. So I think it's the kind of fraud where a person claims to be a grand-son to get money from their « beloved » grand-parents.

This number appears interesting. It has never called me. I dialed AT&T (USA) from Canada just the other day. I deployed the Occassional Block feature, *67, prior to dialing the American toll-free number (I'm dead serious: I displayed my redial feature right after fininshing my call and saw that I had indeed depressed *67). AT&T USA determined my phone number to be (514) 874-1957, which it isn't; evidently, some party out there is committing an infraction of Canadian privacy regulation. I myself called this 514 number and, without hearing a ring, got a recording that identified a telephone service provider and a few digits (orally). (Incidentally, twice dialing an AT&T Canada number whereat I dialed *67 beforehand, somehow AT&T customer service representativeS (CSR) were equipped with the facility at overriding my Occassional Block feature. Persevering to speak with the 2nd CSR's supervisor, I got plucky in that the supervisor told me that many customers had complained about the same thing that I'm writing about here. I have no subscription with any AT&T. My telephone service provider is investigating the infraction. I am taking both these matters up with the Privacy Commissioner's Office in Ottawa. Cleary, AT&T Canada is breaking the law.)
