This number is Tyco / Johnson Controls, not a scam. They respond to alarm systems going off and run down their list of contacts until they reach someone. I deal with them all the time. - AnonymousApril 29, 2020Scam callCanada

Tycho Security (alarm company) calling about trouble alarm. - Ryan
Not a fraud.... Alarm went off at a location I used to work at and I am on the emergency contact list. Left a message and told me the exact door that tripped the alarm. - Ryan
Number called our business and said that their an alarm company. Our receptionist answered the phone and they asked for the alarm company's name twice, and our person talking to them couldn't understand them. They said we had alamrs going off in zones that we don't even have. When our receptionist said to hang on (she then called me down to talk) they hung up. Called the number back and it goes to Tyco Security in Montreal. And of course, they have no record of calling us. My theory is a scammer is piggybacking on their number somehow. They asked for the name of the receptionist and a seven letter code. - SS
Not a scam.If you get a call, you're probably on the call list for your company.Tyco handles our security systems at my store. When my place of work got broken into, they contacted me because the contacts ahead of me on the list didn't pick up.I missed their call initially because of the random Montreal number, thinking it was a scam also. Looked up the number, called back, and it was a different representative who picked up and had no recollection either - so yes, it's possible. When I gave them my store name, and my name, I was told we were broken into and all alarms were going off. They were able to tell me exactly which alarms were going off - sure enough when I went to the store, the police were there and we were broken into...Not a scam! - Sleeping
