Phoned would not leave a message or name. Hung up after ringing for a while before answering machine kicked in.

Received call on August 20th 2012

This criminal scam has been circulating in the US in the past few weeks (with some overflow to Canadians). I think this is a new one to Canada. The number is likely spoofed and the scam will  spread (meaning that they will use different spoofed numbers and you will get multiple calls). Most of my calls have come from Washington state so far. These criminals are like a highly virulent contagion (of the worst kind). "Please take our survey about very important issues and at the end of the survey you will receive a free cruise" (yeah, right and I was born yesterday....and please, I'd like some of that Florida swamp land too). To get your "free" prize for participating, you will just have to give them your credit card number. And they will then turn around and take you for whatever they can (so criminals and not terribly bright ones either - lazy boogers who won't get real jobs).

Aug 20 - from: (514) 447-8035Automated caller "Roberta", claims to offer a cruise vacation simply for taking their survey.  I hung up before she finished her spiel.
