They are fund raisers for charities and non-profits such as Crime Stoppers, New Brunswick Police Association, Royal Canadian Legion and New Brunswick Association of Fire Chiefs.
Unfortunately, if you donate to any of their charities, they add you to their list for all the charities they serve (happened to me).

They called 3 times in the last 2 days and didn't leave a message. I knew it was a Moncton number so I thought that it could be someone I know that had changed their phone number. I tried calling the number back and immediatly got an answering machine telling to leave my name and number, but there was no information as to who they were, so of course I didn't leave a message. Weird.

They all want money
I received a call from the phone # (506) 388-2001. Stated that they are a non profit organization calling for financial donations. Something to do with helping pay for the books that are sent to schools each year for fire prevention.

Called my company asked for staff by name - refused to leave a message, said they would call back.
