Got in and saw this number had called at 5:20 PM (12 May).  There was a dead air /  hang up msg left. No clue who they are or what they want.

who are these people and what do they want the phone rings twice and no one there

received a call from (416) 915-7928, they left no message! would like to know who is the caller?

Below is the message I recieved from Scotiabank about these phone calls:Dear Scott,We have received your inquiry with respect to ScotiaLife Insurance and would like to speak with you directly.  We have Optima Telecommunications calling potential clients on our behalf.  They sell a lot of different products on our behalf:  Accidental Death, Term Life, Hospitalization, Guaranteed Life.  When they do a sale on the phone they have to confirm your name, address, phone number and year of birth.  If you want to be removed from the call list please call us to confirm your details.Please call our Contact Centre at 1-800- 387-9844. I don't even deal with Scotia what a freakin' scam

They called to offer me a free 2000$ life insurance, from Scotia Bank, because they said "I was such a good client". I refused everything they offered and I asked for their number to call them back. He gave me another number 1-+1 800-387-9844, which is Scotia Life. I immediately called Scotia Bank. They never heard of such deal.
