Oops. That was a different call. The (416) 900-3780 was earlier in the day and they were a regular telemarketer.

Called apparently from a Home Security Company, though would not repeat company name. Tried to get information out of me on my Home Security System ... would not clarify for me who they were when asked. Said they could send someone to my house for demonstration. I kept trying to politely say 'No, I don't know who your company is and therefore do not feel comfortable/secure talking about this person information .. they kept pushing ... afraid they are thieves trying to find good house to rob. Read above emails ... frightened now ...

They called me today and I got info from agent and immediately filed a complaint with the CRTC. Please visit    https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng   and do the same immediately after they call you. CRTC fines violators of the Do Not Call List for multiple violations/

They called me telling me they were from Microsoft Windows and asked me to go through some checks on my comp to see if there were any malicious files. I never take these types of calls but thought I would this time. At one point he tried to get me to go to site that lets them take over my comp so their technicians could help me. I aborted at this point. There is only so far down the rabbit hole you can go before it starts costing you money!

Calling from the "Home Alarm Company"
Wants to know what type of alarm i have.
When I told him to put me on his do-not-call list, he said he does not have one.
When i told him to remove my number from his call list he refused  - said he can't.
I asked to speak to his manager, he told me to wait then the line went dead.
Its the same rude (indian accent i think) guy who calls every 6 weeks or so, and i would like to visit him face to face if anyone could lead me in the right direction.

that could be disturbing some time
