I have submitted a complaint also and have let the CRTC have it about this number and its ability to run amok on our phone lines. As Canadians, we deserve better and they need to really examine who these callers are and what they are doing. I understand it's just a phone call, but the fact they are misrepresenting themselves, not listening to people who tell them that they are NOT interested, do not take steps to remove us from their lists and openly deceive small children is UNACCEPTABLE. We shall see if this caller continues harassing me. I moved in to my place 1 1/2 months ago and so far am getting calls from this number and another number claiming to be my "credit card company" that is giving me a "2nd and final notice to lower my interest rate on my "credit card"" and to press "1" for a live agent. REALLY? If you were my credit card company, which you are not, you would have sent me written material in the mail and not harassing me every month. But that's another story, which I also complained about.

This becomes a criminal offense. Secondly, many of these numbers are reportedly owned by Bell and it is time that they take responsibility for the numbers. The illegality of these calls is overshadowed by the immorality, and the level of ignorance of the individuals involved.

Someone called me from this no (416) 661-7719 and I know that someone on other side can hear me very well but that she/he hanged up the phone, then I called back on this no but this not does not exist.

oh yeah, cause that really works - if anything they just think you are out and try calling again later. Best thing you can do is thell them in no uncertain terms that you are not interested and to remove your details from their list.

How in the world can I get this bloody company to stop calling me?  I got a call this morning and I told the man that there had been a death in the family, relatives were here and to please stop calling me.  They called again within a half hour!  Isn't there something that can be done about this?
