I have received way too many calls from this indian accent guy in the past months to my work phone looking for one of my employees here. The # that showed on the caller ID before was different. It was, if i remembered correctly,it's 5155. This is the first time that it uses the (416) 555-7777 #. The guy was rude and when I told him the employee can no longer be reached at this #, he got upset and asked WHY.
On previous occasions, one of my managers answered the phone and told him we don't take message for employees and he got REAL mad and kept calling the line for 20 times.

He said it's legal matter and need to talk to the employee. But...if it's legitimate legal issue, shouldn't you have all those information handy already??

It's so annoying to receive calls like this in a such a daily basis

I am from Toronto, Ontario, Canada which is actually the city where the area code is 416. However, as a long time resident of Toronto I know that 555 is NOT A LEGITIMATE 2nd 3 digits! This is spam! For sure! Let me tell you this: When a commercial is made for air/posting around here and they need a fake number they use 416-555-xxxx as the number because NOBODY'S SECOND 3 DIGITS IS 555. So no one will get a spammer call.

HOWEVER, this means that this caller is somehow displaying (416) 555-7777 as his/her caller ID while calling from a different number.

Furthermore, I saw the 647 number posted above. 647 is the Greater Toronto cell phone area code. So that may be a legitimate number. However, it may not necessarily be the number of the caller who was spamming you.

I am dissapointed that some retard is giving a bad rap to the 416 :(

The calling card logic doesn't make any sense. Unless you live in Greater Toronto, why would you have a calling card where you will have to pay long distance? I have one to call family in the States but I use a 1800 one so THEY don't have to pay long distance.Suprisingly enough, I have never been called by these idiots, and I actually have a 416 number... Thank God for that though, that I've never been called.
