This guy sounded like he had an Indian accent. ?Claimed he was from "The Debt Company". When I remarked that that was a very vague name he said, "I know sir, the company's name is confusing but that is the name of the company." I then allowed him to do his bit for a while and he mentioned that "his company was in the area doing a survey of mortgage payments" and he had noticed that we had made our last couple of months worth of payments on time and that he had an offer to improve our interest rate.  I knew when I picked up the phone that it was a scammer and I love playing with these jokers.  I informed him that I was on the National Do Not Call List and to take me off the list.  He asked me why. We argued for a bit and then I asked him for a manager and he said that he was the manager (how convenient). I then asked for his phone number. The one he probably pulled off of the list was a 416 exchange. I then asked for the company name.  He had trouble remembering that and eventually came up with "The Debt Company"  I asked for his name, "My name?" he said "My name is uh... Gary"  I followed with "And your last name is.." "Uhm... uh Nelson"  A traditional Indian name I suspect.  I asked him where he lived and he said BC then started to wonder why I was asking so many questions.  I then told him about the National Do Not Call List and that I needed this information so that I could file a proper complaint with the CRTC (Canadian FCC) for violation of the NDNC list. He said he wasn't in violation. I asked if he was a charity or if we had done business together before.  He said yes.  I asked which one; charity or business he replied with "I don't understand". I then asked if he was a telemarketer. He said yes. I read him the telemarketers requirements from the web page and then repeated. Are you a telemarketer. He said yes. I asked if he had a copy of the numbers on the DoNot Call list.  He said no then changed his mind and claimed that he was not a telemarketer.  I proceeded to argue with him for a while longer until he finally gave up and hung up. My family live in another country and they use phone cards to call me. This is the number usually displayed when they call me!

Got a call today at our business from a foreign male, wanted to verify our business information -- hours of operation, mailing address, etc. I work at a doctor's office so all of this is normal. I got suspicious when they asked me to repeat a "verification code" which was supposed to be this guy's birthday. I said no I don't think so and hung up. A few seconds later I picked up the phone again and the same person called me a bi*** and hung up. Caller ID said Ontario Call.

Got a call from this number, claiming he works for a carpet cleaning company or something.. i told him i dun need his services so he said "don't f*** with pakistani" and hung up lol that was hell funnywhen i asked him for his number he gave me this one: (416) 800-2479terminating the number by the provider is easy, but makes the company lose a subscriber ($$$$ money  $$$$) so they just keep scammers messing around..

I got call from this number i think there is a group of telemarketer calling from pakistan or india whn they donot get anyone they swear

I have received about 25 calls from this number in the last 24 hours. Some foreign (Indian?) guy saying, "hello, hello, hello" in every message and trying to say some other stuff, but I couldn't understand any of it. I'm glad I googled this number and got this site, so I know I'm not alone. This is so annoying and creepy. Is there any way to track these a**holes down, or at least block the number?
