i recieved the call and no one answerd. they called about 12 times in 7 minuets so i tried to call back and it gave me a 411 number?

Sick and Tired!I have been gettting 3 to 4 calls a day from this number. They never leave a message, I am sick of getting these calls. How can I block this number?I have answered a couple of times and I hang up after he says hello, I can barely understand him because he speaks poor English.What can a person do?????

I am from Toronto, Ontario, Canada which is actually the city where the area code is 416. However, as a long time resident of Toronto I know that 555 is NOT A LEGITIMATE 2nd 3 digits! This is spam! For sure! Let me tell you this: When a commercial is made for air/posting around here and they need a fake number they use 416-555-xxxx as the number because NOBODY'S SECOND 3 DIGITS IS 555. So no one will get a spammer call.

HOWEVER, this means that this caller is somehow displaying (416) 555-7777 as his/her caller ID while calling from a different number.

Furthermore, I saw the 647 number posted above. 647 is the Greater Toronto cell phone area code. So that may be a legitimate number. However, it may not necessarily be the number of the caller who was spamming you.

I am dissapointed that some retard is giving a bad rap to the 416 :(

I received a couple calls from this number, one after the other, but I didn't answer.

I got a call, the man had a foreign accent, claimed he worked for Rogers and was calling on behalf of Fido, he wanted to give me a free phone for exchange of my bank account number, my drivers liscence and my medicare, and my credit card number such as visa or mastercard. I stopped him right there and asked for his phone number and he refused, he claimed he couldn't give me the number but tried to make me belive he was legitamate.
