Just got a call, said this was last chance to reduce my credit card interest rates after several attempts to notify me by mail.... press 1.   Yeah right!  Obviously a scam a legit company would identify themselves.

I've been getting calls twice a day for two days. There is no message left on the machine. It is just plain annoying at this point and I know it will get worse. They always do. Really wish we had privacy rights. Real ones!!! I miss the days when the only people who had your number where those you actually gave it to and they didn't pass it along for an extra buck or two because you knew where they lived. /:)

10:35 AM PST - Just got a call from this number. ?Pre-recorded message about lowering my credit rating.  Saying that notices have been sent and that this was the "final" one.  B.S.

"This is your final courtesy notification from cardmember services.  We have sent you several notifications, to your residence..."  No, they haven't.  Went on about reducing credit card debt; you must owe at least $5000... "To speak to a live agent press 1."  I did, to ask to be removed.  Immediately got another recording, "You cannot be removed from the calling list by speaking to an agent.  To be removed from the list, press 2."  I did.  The call immediately disconnected.
Buying a Telezapper -- $30 or less on eBay -- will cut down the amount of computer-dialed calls, from certain types of machinery.  It fools their computer into thinking your # is disconnected.  It won't work on all calls, but it should reduce the number you get.  It has for us.  Worth the investment.  All you have to do is explain to your legitimate callers why your phone beeps when you pick up.

Found a call from this number on my phone 2 days in a row now.
