Meant to say "reducing credit card debt".

This # calls my house at least once a week and when i answer they never say anything and the phone is silent....after a few seconds they hang up. They NEVER say anything or leave a message.

No message left for me. Sounds like prank. Calling me quick often, bi-weekly. Who is this caller? Please stop it.

"This is your final courtesy notification from cardmember services.  We have sent you several notifications, to your residence..."  No, they haven't.  Went on about reducing credit card debt; you must owe at least $5000... "To speak to a live agent press 1."  I did, to ask to be removed.  Immediately got another recording, "You cannot be removed from the calling list by speaking to an agent.  To be removed from the list, press 2."  I did.  The call immediately disconnected.Buying a Telezapper -- $30 or less on eBay -- will cut down the amount of computer-dialed calls, from certain types of machinery.  It fools their computer into thinking your # is disconnected.  It won't work on all calls, but it should reduce the number you get.  It has for us.  Worth the investment.  All you have to do is explain to your legitimate callers why your phone beeps when you pick up.

unknown caller leaves no message and we have no debt to anyone. Please get your information straight!
Frustrating

I answered my ringing telephone to hear silence at first then a recorded message that instructed me to press 1 if I wanted to speak to someone ...I heard another recorded message instructing me to pulse yet another #...3 if my memory serves me finally I heard a person I asked for her name and where... her answer was ?"...based in US of A but could handle Canadian matters..." then I experienced a dead connectionI called the CRTC reporting # 1 +1 866-580-3625
