I got acall from this number.  The guy with an east indian accent (very bad english) is referring to a computer scam. The pretend to loook at yopur computer and tell uyou what might be wrong with it.  They keep calling and callling. How do I block out this number?

Got a message from this number at 6:45 a.m. today.  When I answered there was nothing at the other end.  Called back and it said "You've dialed a number that isn't in use."

just got a call from this number; name showed as V followed by digits. the guy said he's from some computer department. scram.

I had a rather strange offer made to me today by phone at approximately 1:18 pm today. The number on the phone screen was (403) 410-2058 / Shabaz. He said he worked for Visa  and Master Card Rewards program. And because I have been using my card a lot they had chosen me for a prize. The prize was for 5 days 4 nights all inclusive 5 star hotel at Kissimmee Continental Florida plus tickets to Disney World, plus 3 day 2 nights at Daytona Beach Ocean front hotel plus 3 days 2 nights at Fort Lauderdale Florida Resort including a $1000.00 dollar gift certificate, a total of $6,500.00 value. The offer was to be open for one year. He knew my address but had the zip code wrong. As the conversation progressed he said the only cost would be the taxes and then proceeded to ask to verify my card number. I gave him a phony card number and name on the card. At this point he said I will switch you to another person to verify the information. At this point I said I was not interested in going further closed the conversation.Is this a familiar call ? Is there any danger in this conversation I had? What should I watch for?I tried to call back the number on my screen and it said number no longer in use.

Have some fun with them.  Ask them to wait, put the phone down (next to the radio is good as they can listen to it) and get on with your life.  It may taken them a while to realise you are not going to return to them by which time they should have racked up a nice phone bill.
