It's been well over a week with calls from this number every morning, afternoon and evening.  Just like everyone else, no message left, number not in service when I call back, blah, blah, blah.
If with Shaw, dial #60, then follow the prompts; if memory serves me correctly, (after the #60) you then punch in #(403) 284-1176# which will block this number from calling.  You can also punch in #01# which will block the last number to call.  When you do this, it says the number belongs to "anonymous."
No wonder everyone hates telemarketers. Tough way to make a living!

Fun new development:  Actually got a call from (403) 770-0522 today, from someone claiming to be Heather with Central Clean Air, asking to do .... (wait for it) a survey about air quality and asthma.  I didn't play along.  I confirmed the name of the company and asked her where she was calling from.  She said an address on Grant Street in Saskatoon.  I asked where that was and she said "downtown".   BZZZZZT!  Wrong.  But she's not from around here, new with the company.  She put me on to her supervisor Camille, who's also Philipino, and also new to Saskatoon.  I asked why her call shows up as 403 and she said it's their VOIP phones.  I grilled her hard, trying to figure out if they're scammers or simply clueless business people who look suspicious.  Apparently Central Clean Air has its head office in Calgary (but no web presence whatsoever) and an office in Saskatoon of <20 people, she said.  I mentioned Superior Philipine Technology (see my post above) and she said yes they're working together, pointing me to www.sptbpo.com, an outsourcing company.  Hmf.  She said she'd refer me to her manager, Dennis, apparently a Canadian, to answer all my questions.  They also gave me the number (306) 979-4344 that I could call with my questions.Well!  I called them and got some further information.  Turns out Central Clean Air in Saskatoon is affiliated with Breathe Easy Homes in Calgary, who together are employing a Philipino call centre to handle their cold call sales pitch.  I'm told what they sell is an air purifier (I suspect it's a humidifier-looking box that plugs in the wall) and a surface cleaner, which gets demonstrated to me by their rep.  Presumably if I have terrible answers regarding air quality, they'll offer to send someone over to do the demo, and hopefully sell me some merch.  Gives me the willies, thinking back to my experience with a Kirby vacuum cleaner salesman long ago, who gave me The.  Hardest.  Sales.  Pitch.  Ever.  Not sure if these guys employ the same sales strategy, but I gotta say, especially with the comments above, that their initial impression is not good.Well I told the friendly girl at 979 3433 about this board, so maybe she (and the rest of management) is reading this now to see the far end effects of the calling company they've contracted.

Anyone know who's number this is? They don't leave a message. When you call the number back, it says the number is not in service.

I've gotten three calls in the last 2 days from this number.
