"Jacob" at some call center trying to sell some sort of financial service.  I told them to remove my # from their call list.  So far, so good.

Somebody called me from (250) 980-3438 on Feb. 08/10 9:50am in Calgary telling me that I owe 100K on my visa and asking me about my and my husband?s visa statement. After I told that I don?t know my husband?s statement and that my statement shows $0 balance they hung up on me.

same thing as above.. it sounded like a really crowded call centre.. they were offering me a lower interest rate. i just hung up on them. they keep calling.

Try to scam me.

The people on the other end of this line had Indian/Pakistani accents, and were calling from a very crowded room.  They claimed I had earned a lower interest rate on my card, and seemed to be trying to get information from me.  People who receive a call (in Canada) from this number should contact +1 888-495-8501, Phonebusters, the Canadian national agency created to deal with phone scams.
