They called and Tried to offer a trip to mexico. 990 for all inclusive week. They also asked if I was 25 and had a valid CC. They wanted me to book right away and give them a CC # to hold the booking and I won't be charged until I book the trip and I ahve up to a year to book the trip. It is for sure a scam. After I had lead them on and they wanted my CC # I just hung up.

Just got this call at my work phone. I'm in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. All those scammers really want is for you to press a certain number which could give them access to charge you long distance charges of any amount they wish on your phone line(ie: $100/minute) while putting you on hold to maximize charges. Or to check off an automated list of active numbers so they can sell it to other telemarketers for profit.

Just called my phone. I didn't pick up. Caller did not leave a voicemail.

I live in Kelowna, and I received a call from this number as well. The 250 area code is local around here, so I assumed it was someone who knew me. I picked up and heard something about being the winner of 1000 Air Miles points. Of course the call came early morning, and I was too tired to even bother trying to continue, so I hung up. I am subscribed to the national Do-Not-Call list, so I am curious as to how these people managed to get my number.

First I got a call from (250) 930-4268) on my unlisted koodo cell phone that I did not answer, then minutes later a call from same number (250) 930-4268) on my telus home phone which I also did not answer. My answering machine just caught the end of recording "press 1". Now how does this scammer know both my Koodo cell # aswell as my telus # unless telus's data or koodo's data has been hacked, as telus owns koodo. There's more to this scam than it seems on the surface.

it opened with airmiles....redeem 100,000 air miles press 1 now...it was a BC number it said on cell. called back via laternative line adnit cannot be completed

got a call from this number and it says this number is not in service if i try an call it back

got a call "you are bell canada customer and recieved a gift, to accept press 1"

didn't press anything and got hungup after few seconds
