They called and Tried to offer a trip to mexico. 990 for all inclusive week. They also asked if I was 25 and had a valid CC. They wanted me to book right away and give them a CC # to hold the booking and I won't be charged until I book the trip and I ahve up to a year to book the trip. It is for sure a scam. After I had lead them on and they wanted my CC # I just hung up.

Just got this call at my work phone. I'm in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. All those scammers really want is for you to press a certain number which could give them access to charge you long distance charges of any amount they wish on your phone line(ie: $100/minute) while putting you on hold to maximize charges. Or to check off an automated list of active numbers so they can sell it to other telemarketers for profit.

Just called my phone. I didn't pick up. Caller did not leave a voicemail.

got a call saying I won 100,000 air miles then youi go on hold and then another guy comes on saying I won a vacation but you have to be over 25 ...I think there was more questions but I said who uis this are you for real and then the phone went dead ...buggers

They are now reaching into the Maritimes...didn`t answer, just googled the number and here I am.

Just got a call from (250) 930-4268. You will receive 2600 Air Miles - press 1. I did. ?Seems to be a telemarketer trying to promote Azul Five resort.  Tried to get me to purchase a discounted 6 day vacation in the Maya Riviera for 999.99 total for up to 4 people. That was his pitch.  I was patient listened for a while he passed me onto a "supervisor".  I said I wasn't comfortable being phoned out of the blue and being offered this "great deal".  Supervisor then offered me a student price for 799.99 for the same deal.  He was persistent but there was no way I was going to give any credit card information.  He tried to assure me by saying he would pass me onto a security representative and everything would be recorded for my safety and protection (I'm not sure how that works - haha).  After about 15 minutes I think he finally gave up.

"Dear Caller, this is an important call from Airmiles, as a subscriber...."Hung up

I won something from Canadian Tire... it was spoken in those robotic speech input softwares. I think this is only affecting people that had their number on the telus network :/
