Just got a call from this number (search tells me it's based from Cobble Hill/Victoria, BC - I answered it because I'm also on the Island and thought it may have been legit being that it's a somewhat familiar prefix) and it was an automated spiel saying that I was a preferred Telus customer and to press 1 to collect my free gift. I said "Nope" and hung up. Go away, Telemarketers. This is the third junk call this week.

Me too! No idea who it is! Didn't leave a message or anything. Tried to call it back and apparently it's out of service.

just got the same call as mm above.  Like the sucker that I am, I pressed 1.  Not happy.

I'm so glad this page exists as I had wondered if it was someone I knew....but I see it is just some kind of scam.  So, glad I didn't get to answer.  Called my cell.  No message of course.  I don't give out my number, but yet scammers still seem to find it!

I don't live in British Columbia, but I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau concerning a merchant in North Vancouver.  Within 2 business days of filing my complaint with the BBB, I got a call from (250) 929-2323.  I missed the call and it went to voicemail (no message left).  I wasn't expecting any other calls from B.C.  Coincidence?
