Caller: Supposedly from UVIC

Deposit a message on my phone requesting information update, ..... likely a scam call as
it came around 8.21pm at night. No one at UVIC works past 3pm !!!

Caller: He identified himself as Ethan, a UVIC 2nd year student and an employee of UVIC

He wants to update my information, .....I told him git der F... out!
This is decidedly a scam call, trying to use social engineering to extract
information.

I work at UVic and when I received calls from this number which identifies as "UVic" in my call display I wonder whether it's legitimate. I've never given a donation to UVic. I work there and that's my donation. ;) So when someone phones and leaves me a voicemail saying they want to tell me about the exciting things happening at UVic I think - what?! The vast majority of us are working remotely due to COVID-19 and there really isn't much going on unless it's via Zoom or something.

Caller said they were from UVic and wanted updated contact info, then asked lots of personnel questions then aggressively asked for money several times after I said no.

UVic students calling asking for personal information. They start by asking to confirm that contact info is up to date, then bombard you with personal questions without any lead up into what the call will entail

I donated $1,000 of my personal money to UVic, despite the fact I graduated from SFU.Christy and her BC Liberals are so cheap!!!

It's Alumni Services collecting info.

Called and almost immediately hung up. We think it's a University of Victoria number, but we're not entirely sure.

uvic called me begging for a donation.

It's definitely uvic looking for a donation.  They called again even though I told them I wasn't Interested when they called 3 weeks ago

I haven't answer the past 5 calls, but this is getting very annoying... no voicemail ever left.
