Just called Surrey, BC. Telus seems responsible for allowing this number. Complaints should be put to Telus.

got a call from (250) 503-1956 its a credit card scam. they say they can reduce your interest rate.but in playing along they hasd no idea what credit card I have. the lady said I need to give her the numberon the back of card then she  will be able to reduce interest... yeah right!I am not that studid. You never give anyone the number on back of card...

"Last chance to lower your interest rate on your credit czrd debts"  Woman with E.Indian or similar accent, says name is 'Clare", refuses to give the number for address rom which she is calling "Not authorized", but claims the credit company she is clling from is authorized by MasterCard and Visa.Hung up when asked for address etc.This is a repetitive nuisance call, and probably a scam.

www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca The above is a DO NOT CALL LIST.....put out by the government of Canada.  Go to the site, and fill it out and I believe you are there for 4 or 5 years.  There is a place there for you to report these frauds and scams.  It does do the world of good to get on the list.  But eventually, they do get around this and the calls do start again.  You should all get together and when they ask for the 3 digits behind your credit card, give them the 911 number....should keep them busy for a while....You have nothing to lose unless your number behind your card is 911.  I know that I am going to report these phone calls to the fraud department.  You do need the date of the call, the number it comes from, and I think (???)  your phone number.  (NOT SURE OF THE LAST ONE)Good luck to all of you....let's put a stop to this.
