i received a call on my mobile phone (Telus) from (780) 949-8989; i answered and was informed that as a Costco Member, I had won 2 vacations if I pressed 1. I pressed 1, waited a minute, then after verifying I was 25+ with a credit card, was told and pressured into going to the website www.cancuncalling.com where I entered a promo code of vumep3828. all i had to do was pay $698 on a visa card immediately. Under no circumstances would they allow me to think about it and call them back. They wouldn't give me their number, and the only way to receive the offer was if I paid immediately with the sales guy on the phone. This is always my RED Flag. If they won't give me 24hours to talk it over with my spouse, then their sales tactics are not family-friendly. All families should have a chance to talk anything over before being forced into charging money to a credit-card. Again - another RED Flag.  Clearly a scam - don't know what or why, but our family has a 24hour rule - no purchases on incoming calls without being able to have at least 24hours to discuss it as a family first. Works great for all telemarketers - there's no come-back for them, and works every time. They hung up right after that.Another Phone Number was 1-+1 800-961-4641 on their website.

I did not answer and wonder how the caller has 'access to my private cell number' from a
phone that is not in service. Thats some trick. Makes you wonder what other tricks they

Received a call from (204) 977-9898 a couple minutes ago on my cell.  On Rogers in Vancouver.  Didn't answer, no message left.
