I received a call at 7:30 am . He said he was from visa and that someone had made a charge on E-Bay and Western Union at 4:00 am. on my visa account. He asked for my visa no. I didn't provide it. I told him since he was from visa he would have all my information and just shut down the card. He then said I had to go on my computer to fill out a refund form.I told him, I wasn't going to do that. I told him I would call him back and asked for his name. He said his name was James Perry Employee no. TDSd28970. He then hung up. I immediately called visa and told them the story. They tried to call James Perry but of course you can't call the number back. The real visa employee also told me that the employee numbers are also fake.

Received call at 12:07 p.m. today. Although it came up "Unknown Name" (which I rarely answer), I was expecting a callback and picked up without checking. Heavily accented voice asked if this was Mr. S----- a name very close to my own surname but missing a letter. I am female, and my voice doesn't resemble a man's. I asked who was calling, and was told Visa Security; lots of chatter in the background. I ended the call at that point.

[***] called home while I was away and convinced my mother to give them banking information after they told her that her that they were from her bank and that her card was used fraudulently on eBay. Sad that she believed them and gave them her banking information, but on her way to the bank to take out the money they also asked for, she listened to her suspicions and asked the teller about it (something that they told her not to do... RED FLAG!). The teller explained it was a scam, and helped her change all her account information. Pisses me off that scammers prey on people like this, and it's the most vulnerable people in our society that pay the price!
