Received call at 12:07 p.m. today. Although it came up "Unknown Name" (which I rarely answer), I was expecting a callback and picked up without checking. Heavily accented voice asked if this was Mr. S----- a name very close to my own surname but missing a letter. I am female, and my voice doesn't resemble a man's. I asked who was calling, and was told Visa Security; lots of chatter in the background. I ended the call at that point.
Not amused
happened to me at 5:40 AM not impressed at all. Don't understand why so many calls from one number, and no one can look into it. When I called the number it said it was out of service.

Had a call at 7.50 in the morning. Caller said they were from Visa and that a charge had been made on my account from E Bay. They asked if I had made any charges on E Bay and I said no. They asked if anyone else used my card and I said no. They said make sure you have your card in your possession. After I said I did, they asked for the number. I refused. I said you must know my number, you said that a charge was made against it. They hung up.

The same thing happened to me today at 11 am. They hung up.

Same thing this morning at 6:50AM.

Caller said they were from TD Visa and had I made a purchase from ebay, they gave specific details. My husband and I have different last names - they asked for Mrs (husbands name). I said that wasn't me and then I asked them what name was on the card and they gave me my husbands name. I told them that but the only TD card in our house belongs to me in my maiden name so that couldn't be correct. He asked me 'If you're not Mr or Mrs (husbands name), how would you know what name is on the card?' I told them I work for RBC and so I am trained to call a bank's hotline if there's an issue or go to the local branch. He hung up.
