Robot call asking me for immediate action for something giving a 1-888 number then hung up. who are these people?

Same story here. Continuous calls from (905) 855-7515 ("Contact Resource Services on behalf of Rogers") asking to speak to an unknown person, or wanting you to call +1 888-238-0878 regarding an urgent matter. These people are parasites on society and need to be shut down. How do we get rid of them?

They call here alot and say they're doing an investigation and i need to take immediate action.and then give some 1888 number.=/
