Yep! I received a check and letter from First Access Securities,Inc.  The letter stated that I was a sweepstakes winner of $250,000. They were sending a incentive check of $4,995.00, and out of that to send $2,995.00 for taxes. First there was no return address, which made me suspicious.  Second, the bank was in Havre, Montana, the company in Seattle, Washington, and the letter came Ontario.  Way too many places to believe it was real.  I too would like to catch these low lifes.  Especially, at this time when many people need money.  
Watch out and be mindful of what you get.  Nothing is ever for free.

Actuall y my mom recieved a check from them and we called and got this confirmation number and was told the check was good to cash. We did cash it and spent some, stupid us. It turned out it was a fraud now we have to pay back the money. We called them from the police department and the lady on the other line told us that it is not her problem it was ours. PLEASE DON'T CASH CALL OR USE THIS CHECK IT IS A FRAUD.

Got the same letter.  I did the internet reserch first before going to the bank and I am glad I did.  I am barely just making it now and to get caught up in the deposit of a fake check would have really hurt me.  Not to mention the stress of the period of hope that I had won something. It is funny that they mentioned the name of a company Lowes where I had put in for a money winning change from a purchase made. Even more hope this was real.  Oh well just my luck which is the only kind of luck I have- bad luck.  I thought no return address on the envelope  and the lack luster tone of the lady I talked to was a hint of " something wrong", guess I was right.

Plus I was advised that cashing this check, could give the criminals access to my account. If you receive any check from Gold Star Securities Inc. out of Midland, Ontario, the Better Business Bureau would like you to call 1-+1 888-495-8501. Called the number, the lady stated to cash or deposit the check and call back. I cheked with the company and found this site, same scam as all of the other people on this site.

I am, so disgussted that someone would scoop so low to do something like this. Yes! I received the same letter. I called to speak with so called promotion manager mary brown. The person who answers kelly anderson told me that ms. Brown was not available. The phone number i was given to call was (905) 783-2559, claim no:wn/ul-0077. Please do not fall to their scam.
