If they are in bankruptcy, how can they try to collect a debt that would now belong to either the court or their own creditors. Isn't it ironic that they company collecting from you for non-payment of debts aren't paying their own debts. I love it.

I sent these people $22,900 today on a debt My wife owed from MBNA. I was told by the sheriffs office and BDO that they would put a lien on my home and force a sale to clear the debt even though they purchased it at 1% of the total. My home is a co own and my wife is on permanent disability and we didn’t have the money to pay it. If legal action is being preordered and I have any rights please let me know as I would like to be involved.

I had to deal with these low life's. They bought my debt from MBNA tried to settle with them they wouldn't budge. They started to harass me like crazy even called my wife at work which they cant. Anyway long story short I had enough of them so I retained a lawyer to negotiate for me. Once he contacted them they backed off right away and where nothing but nice to me when before I had a lawyer they where a**holes. I owed $16,000 and my lawyer negotiated it down to $5000. I paid that. However I must admit that I should have just paid my debt in the first place, I have learned my lesson. However theses guys try to bully and intimidate people in paying for a debt they bought for pennies. They try to make you believe that you are actually paying you debt off to the org creditor but your not. They threaten lawsuits and garnishments when in fact they never follow through. If you don't have the money don't pay. Don't let them intimidate you, they wont do anything they prey on people who cant afford to pay their bills, then they try everything in their power to scare you. At this point your credit is already bad so don't pay them, it has already been written off by the original owner like MBNA or Capital One. Just learn from your mistakes and pay your bills on time in the future, take responsibility and move on. Just don't let these guys get to you. Ignore them, they will go away.

If you're in Ontario and the debt is more than 2 yrs old (without payments), then they can't sue because it is statute barred, meaning it is beyond the limitation period. If they call, hang up on them because if you agree that you owe the money, a new 2yr window opens up for them and then they can sue you. Write them a letter stating you dispute the debt and that they should sue if they want to. They know they can't and by disputing the debt, they legally can't try to collect from you anymore. If they try, complain to the Ontario government and the collector and agency can lose their license. It pays to know the law.

I wouldn't trust Morrison or Murray so disorganized. Both guys can't get it to together. Murray has the worst nasty attitude and don't even have a reference number. Asked for a bill and they didn't email or fax the record. Two I am still getting emails from these jokers after I have dealt with them. Long story short not a trusted company

I would defiantly like to be involved in a class action suit with this company. My wife received numerous calls where vmail was left by Sean Morrison in a one day period while at the same time I would get telephone calls with no messages left, and then finally Morrison left a threatening message on my cell phone. I immediately contacted Morrison who spoke to in a condescending tone demanding that he receive the total sum of $16,303 from me in a 25 hour period or the matter would be passed onto the courts. I advised Morrison that I had not received any documentation and requested for on to be sent which was refused. I complied fully with Morrison by confirming my contact information and even giving my email address to him. I stated that I would make payment arrangements with him which he refused offering me a onetime offer for a total of $12,500 if I used a Broke which he had suggested, surly a friend, and the payment could be held off until Monday.
The next day Morrison once again telephoned my wife and with no satisfaction telephoned my place of employment with no just cause.
I have emailed CCL a complaint letter stating what has been done prior to filing a complaint with the Government of Ontario.
Something has to be done with this company.

We should be under bankruptcy protection for this still being threatened

I have just one credit card /mortgage and car loan .. and they running after me I don't know why ?? received a letter from a lawer ??!! no reason for this letter they can put it somewhere ..im not concerned

Not exactly a call but i recieved a letter 6 months ago about a debt i paid in full 4 years ago. For a debt that is 9.5 years old. Amount is 1/3 less than that of the official balance owed innitially. Not only that but when i paid for it. I paid it at the banking institution the debt orriginated and they never closed the account. Been through my credit karma and the debt is still shown. Letter was from affglo on behalf of pcr.

Anyone still have dealings with them ? Did anyone sue them ? These people should be in jail ... they are crooks. They have all the right people on their payroll to systematically rip everyone off.

Any advice please help. I’ve been scammed by them.

So i get a call today for a MBNA debt that my wife had accurred. Just over $9,000 in 2012, says i owe over $22,000 now and another $8,000 for Sheriffs fees if they proceed with Writ and seizure of land on my property. Should i get ahold of lawyer? i asked for paperwork on what I owe he just sends the original amount from 2012.

They were threatening to go after a credit card debt in my name but go after my husband. Serve him papers, I tried to make arrangements in stead told me I had 48 hours to put 7800.00 in their bank or there filing papers after 48 hours is up. They should google their names as if I’d put 7800 in a bank acct of a scam artist. My name is on the credit card they can only go after me, I know my rights.

I have been getting automated calls from this company for months, daily. Today, I got a letter saying that they were going to sue me. I got no notice that they bought any debts of mine, and I have had no new debts for about 7 years now. I am on Ont. Disability. Don't have any assets. No house or car to seize.
When do these stupid people stop bugging people on welfare?

There is also an employee there by the name of Claudia Cortell you know her by her crooked teeth and wide set eyes. She is one of the ugliest women I have seen. she is definitely single and has no friends I feel sorry for people who work in this field as they must live sad and lonely lives.
