Legitimate phone call from Canadian Tire Financial Services. I didn't answer and they left a voice mail message. I called the number on the back of my Mastercard to ensure it was legit. Sure enough it is, they called to confirm a purchase I had made to an irregular address. All good. :) Caller: Canadian Tire Financial okay
I just received a call from the same number. They are legit. They have called me about a transaction which i just did online!
Called 3 times within 1/2 hour but did not leave a message No it isn't. Caller: Canadian Tire
This is a legitimate number for Canadian Tire. They were calling to confirm an online purchase.
It's just the Canadian tire HR team, can confirm. Work for a cantire company, they called back as I was expecting an HR call. Yall can relax very bad calling and no body many times ,and when calling them say said check the number you are calling . i just got phone call from that number. When they ask you to call back, they give a 1-800 number which is different from the call id #... if you don't have a/your card, the number on the back of a CT MC card is 1-+1 800-459-6415 She asked for a name which I don't know so I told her he's not here and to take my number off her list and she said, "I"m actually calling from his bank, ma'am." So, that's a lie because almost no one in Alberta has a "bank" in Mississauga, Ont. That is a valid outbound phone number for CT Options Mastercard. It can be any department calling for any reason. You are unable to return the call to that number but can call the phone number on the back of your card and they will direct you to the correct department or they will call you back if it's important. Bottom line it is a valid phone number for them. Got this call this morning. From Canadian Tire Bank (Store Credit card). Lady left a message on my voicemail & left me the same number than the reverse of the credit card. It was a legit call. Couple weeks ago I paid my balance, cut my card in half & mailed it to them. This morning she offered me a 9% interest rate instead of the regular 19.5% to NOT abandon them. I did not accept, and I said 'if you had offered this rate two years ago like VISA, maybe I would have keep the card. You should apply this lower rate to all your credit card holders who have a balance & now must pay an usury 19.5% rate'.SO, it seems the only way to get a 9% rate from them: pay your final balance, send them the card & wait two weeks. Then they might show a little more respect! Actually, thats not true. The number is from Canadian tire bank, and they really are a bank, as anyone who has a canadian tire mastercard knows thats what comes up on your credit file.
