Just received a call from this number, couldn't understand 90% of what the person was saying, and I've heard a lot of Indian accents.  All I got out of the ramble was it was some home security company and he already knew I had a system but was offering some upgrade or something free for 3 months....I stopped him, asked what company, he says something again that I can't understand and tries to keep going.  So I stopped him again and asked how did he know I already have an alarm system (knowing that he is not calling from AlarmForce, my current provider).  Silence on the other end, although there was a lot of background noise like a party was happening.  He tries to ignore my question and keep going, so I asked again, how did he know.  He then said something in a foreign language (not French or English) and hung up.  All I say is, try and come here.  If you get past my alarm, 2 dogs and my .22 rifle, then you deserve some of the items in my house.

I received a call from this number at 6:34pm today.  No answer when I picked up, then an automated "goodbye".  I called back, someone answered, said his name was "Roy" and wanted to know how I got his number. I told him that he called me, then he addressed me by name. I did not acknowdge that, and asked again who he was.  He said, well, actually it's about your security system.  I hung up.  Ver disturbing.I want to know why I am getting these calls when I am clearly on the do not call registry!

Asked if i was alone and had a security system same #(905) 695-9048 operator said the # was from thorn hill

So I received this call from this guy, as described by everyone at the same tel # (905) 695-9048.  I picked up the call and they hung up?  tried to 411 them and got nothing so thought I'd give them a ring back.  This man with an Indian accent picks up and I say someone called me from this #?  he didn't identify a company or anything when he answered.  He knew it was me?  Perhaps because I rang him back so soon.  He tried to sell me home security?  I cut him off and said forget it and hung up.  Than I googled the No and got this blog. Good at least someone is documenting this harassment.  Anyway after reading some of the blogs and comments about concerns that someone may be trying to identify if someone is home to rob them etc.  I called this idot back and the same guy picked up the phone however this time it rang several times.  He picked up and I told him he identified himself as a security sales person.  I advised I found this blog and advised many people have complained about their behaviour, in fact as identified in this blog the RCMP has been notified.  I advised this person I never want to receive another call - I HAVE HOME PROTECTION.  He didn't even try to defend himself, just said okay and we hung up.  Thanks everyone for making me aware.  We need to confront this individual when he calls, if you feel harassed in anyway contact your local authorities.
