I just got a call from this idiot passing himself off as a Bell employee asking about my Bell phone, internet and TV service as a courtesy call from Bell.  When I questioned if he was from Bell - he would have all that information - he hung up.  Can't quite figure out what kind of scam this is if any but thought I would add my comment.  If anyone figures out what this guy might be up to - please post it here.

Recieved a phone call and he claimed he was from Bell and then asked me if I was still was with Bell.  Actually I did not confirm that I was the person he was asking for however I did decide to reverse it and ask him who he was.  John he replied and I asked John who?  He did not answer I said whatever let me ask you something John?  You say you are from Bell but you are asking me if I have me phone service with Bell?  He said yeah that is right. I said well gee John don't you think if somebody was calling one of their current customers claiming to be their phone company they would know if the person they were calling was one of their customers?  It seemed to complicated for him because this seemed to make no sense to him.So I made it simple for him "So John you say you are calling from Bell and you are asking me if my phone service is with Bell?"  He said yes and I asked again does that make any sense You claim you are Bell Canada but don't know if I use Bell Canada?????????????????Must be rocket science or something.Have not called the CRTC but will, you can file a complaint against Allstream if it is classified as a media but hopefully they won't have to speak to John because he seems to think he is with Bell Canada.........Maybe this idiot is having identity crisis.

Get a phone call today from "bell" the offert me high speed internet 3 months for free. after 3 months I have to pay 29.95 a months including router, naV, firewall etc..No install. fee, no activation fee. sounds god, he transfert me to the manager his name is Dave from the Internet Department. I'm asking about the high speed and told them we don't have high speed available in our area. Hi told me this is new and way not try is free for 3 months. I said let me think about it and I like to speek with my husbund first. I ask , can I call you back,  his said no, we are from the Marketing Department. After this I said thank you and I'm hanging up.
