Just received a call from the same people (Speedy Courier) returning the call to (905) 683-6000 was met with a dial tone. The number is registered as a bell landline however a follow up call to bell canada verified that it was not one of their numbers.

The same story as others regarding a parcel delivery with an outstanding amount to be collected upon delivery once I provided my home address, at which point I hung up immediately.

A follow up call to the CRTC was placed and we were advised to call the Hamilton Police Department Fraud Squad who in turn told us to call the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre 1 +1 888-495-8501
They were too busy to take the call....stay tuned for further information to follow.
