I have had dealings with these thieves in the past. They rang my house in Wellington New Zealand and got me when I was sick. I was scammed!!
Yesterday though, 5 April 2012, they rang my parents where I happened to be visiting. (Foxton New Zealand). My Mum didn't know about them but I did so spoke to them.
They reckoned they had an office in Wellington NZ. I told him to go back to India on the 1st plane and not to ring back again. They are total scammers and I have reported them to the police but dont know what they would actually do about it.
There are too many of these sort of people around unfortunately.
UNLESS IT IS YOUR OWN INTERNET PROVIDER, EG. TELECOM, COMPASS, SLINGSHOT ETC. IN OTHER WORDS = THE ONE YOU PAY EVERY MONTH...... DO NOT LET THEM INTO YOUR COMPUTER.....SCAMMERS!!!!

This techbuddha guys are based in Kolkata India as I happened to be friend a caller who called me . he gave all his contact details in India with addresses. The base company is set to be registered in Australia though. The website is all crap and they get it remodelled again and again . This is one of the best ways to scam an indivual and take away all his personal information as credit card details and the CVV number. Please be aware of these type of scammers who rob your personal details and later use the same information to swipe your card again and again. Please check this link diversifiedtechnologiesindia.com, this is where they are calling from .

I received a call from these guys and like you, i thought i would let him have his say. I feel stupid now because i let him get as far as to gain access to my computer- he was able to move my mouse and type etc. He downloaded an anti-virus program and then wanted me to pay $300 for it, which i refused. He said he would send me an applicatrion form to filll out, which i also refused and eventually hung up. I am wondering now what i should do to pprotect my secrity- and how much access he could have gained? I changed my bank account passwords, on another computer but do not know if this is enough? Any information wouyld be helpful- thanks DW

Frauds - Want to access my computer remotely and install virus to hack details i.e. bank etc.
Dont give them access to the computer at all.
Eff the scammers!
Yes, definitely a fraud, however I'm afraid "the authorities" can't do much except get the phone number disconnected. Then they will start using a different phone number. These people are committing fraud outside the country and no court in Canada will prosecute them. What is a local police sevice going to do - send officers to Inda to arrest a sweat-shop full of people earning $5 per week and bring them to Canada and prosecute them? Even if the ring-leaders can be identified they will not be prosecuted here or in India (or whatever country, it's not just India). And it's not just one set of fraudsters. There are many of these rings operating.
And I agree with the first commenter - there should a a FRAUD section to choose from because 'Telemarketer' just doesn't cut it.

Hello Jason here from Australia. These people were calling me everyday but I kept on saying that I am not 18 and I dont have a PC and they then hang up. They called and spoke to my mother one day and she said I will just write all this down and ask my son and they hung up on her lol. So anyways I had another phone call from some Indian just today and I thought I will let him have his say and he sent me to this website aswell. I am a computer technician. I just let him think he had me lol.. They sent me into the Event Viewer on my PC and got me to look at the errors and told me that they are all worms and viruses. The guy said I will pass you to our advanced technician to help you and they didnt transfer the call.. they just passed the phone to the other guy lol. Then the "Advanced Tech" said he needs to put a stop to it from the domain.. I got up to the part where they want to remote into your PC and I said I dont need this, the guy said "its not a matter of need sir, you have to get rid of these viruses and we will help". I said well I am actually a computer technician and I know exactly what the error logs are and what you are trying to do and he shat himself and started stumbling on his words and rustled the phone around a bit and then hung up LOL.
