I just received a call from this number. When I answered the phone I was greeted with, "Hi S (my first name. You are at 123 Blank St, correct?" I asked who was calling and he said some security company name which was selling wireless security devices. Then asked me to confirm my address again. I refused to and he eventually hung up on me. Very creepy.

i just had this same thing happen.... someone called my house only it showed up as "unknown" caller, so i picked up and heard nothing then a creepy woman's voice saying goodbye..... wtf is this? its freaking me out

i just had that here within British Columbia... the same picked up, first heared nothing, then a digital voice saying "Goodbye".

Today this number is for a security alarm installation company...a few weeks ago they were offering me a reduced rate on my visa or mastercard.....this number comes up everyday on my call display with no message left

Called back and a recorded British sounding lady said it was for a security installation firm and to hold for a sales agent.  Sales agent answered and could not explain why I was called (am on the National DNC list). Asked to escalate to supervisor and asked for their business name and address or business license number.  They refused. Ended up talking to a further supervisor.  After talking to him, he refused to provide 1) A mailing address. 2) A business license number. or 3) What countries they are licensed to do business in.  

I asked #3 because they stated they were Canada's premier home security service.

After 45 min and several conversations where I asked those 3 very simple questions, the asked my intent for this information.  I said that I just wanted to talk to the RCMP and ensure they were a legitimate business and had the appropriate licenses.  They hung up.  Shortly after the number was disconnected.
