Our household has gotten two calls from the so-called Canadian Gifting Centre. The second time they called, we decided to manipulate the caller into losing control of the phone conversation. We pretended to misunderstand what they were talking about, which they then tried to clarify. We then pretended to misunderstand again, which prompted them to respond to us. In forcing them to continually respond to us, we effectively took control of the conversation away from them. We then managed to get the caller to pass the phone to his "manager". Then, we behaved belligerently to the "manager", pretended to be a little crazy, got upset, and hung up in a huff. Amazingly, the manager called back, in order to "resolve the misunderstanding". We did not pick up, so he left a message on our voice mail. In doing so, our voice mail system recorded his telephone number. It is 1-(647) 326-0557.

So, if you hear from these guys, I'm sure you'll want to call back using the number above.

They call with the EXACT same pitch. "Andy Garcia". The number's changed though. He gave me a callback number of (416) 800-0434. They did know a disturbing amount about me, but nothing that isn't in the phonebook and they guessed at the rest (wrong some of the time, I didn't correct them). They didn't know my name (I replied "This is Mr. XXXXX), and they only knew my wife's first initial which is on our call ID.
They also insisted that my wife and I show up alone at the appointment, which blew my mind. Call me over-protective, but live nearish to the address they gave and I know it's just "for lease" commercial property back there. They could pull anything and there would be no one for miles to see/hear it.  

Smells like a SCAM.

I received the same call today from an Indian woman.  She was very hard to understand.  She told me that I had won 1 out of 5 prizes and listed them off to me.  She told me I had filled out a ballot in December of 2008.  Highly unlikely as I didn't even have the number that she called me on in December.  When I told her that I didn't fill out a ballot in December, she said it could be from December 08 to May 09 and that I probably didn't remember.  I DO NOT fill out ballots for this reason!  She then passed me on to a manager "Michael" for a gift receipt #.  He told me to come in today with my spouse (i'm not even married!)  When I told him that was impossible he said that he would change my ballot to being "single" and that I could go alone.  And that I shouldn't tell anyone that he did that or he might loose his job.  So I booked the appt (knowing full well that I will not go). He also schooled me on how to fill out the form at reception. Within 15 minutes they called back to confirm and of coarse I didn't answer.  If you get a call like this...hang up - don't let them waste your time!  TVS216 Chrislea RoadWoodbridge, ONSuite 202

i got the same call tday, the caller said i won 1 outa 5 prizes ...and that i forgot 2 write my name on my ballot and i onli wrote my # lol why the hell wud i do that? i dont even remm filling out a ballot ....its all a scam ....whoever gets a call like this ...dont fall 4 it !
