i wana tell u, i ceceived cal frm this num (905) 416-9766, i went there at 216 chrislea road and honestly spking I GOT 1000$ cash,

I got a call from someone with a heavy (Indian?) accent claiming to be phoning from new york, for the Consumer Awards Center, offering 5 gifts as a prize etc.,and when I asked for their number, he gave a false Toronto phone number, (416) 800-0797, which belongs to another company.  Then  the manager, "Brad Peter' (who could not pronounce his "own" name, "Brad" correctly- and had an unrecognizable accent)got on the phone, and tried to arrange a meeting. We're absolutely not going. I looked at the above comments and suspect that the positive ones are from the company itself, trying to deflect the negative reports. A clue might be the fact that none of their employees can speak English effectively, and  the "positive' views of this company (above)  also contain numerous grammatical and spelling errors.  
I tried to get the last caller id from bell but the number is blocked.

got called by these same guys tonight, definitaly brown man siting at other end. he told me i won 5 prizes, 1 tv set, $1000 and 3 differnet vacation with $500 cash to spend... asked him what company and he said canadian gift centre, told me i had to show up to and address,so i asked him, all i had to do was show up and get the prizes. He said then that i had to show up with my wife and that there would be a special presentation for the prize. I basicly said no thanks and please give my gift to someone. i hung up my phone and within 30 sec's he called back and called me an a***ole for wasting 6 mins of his time... so i called him a cutochaud = dog F888er in hindi. lol he then hung up on me... yea its a scam people, no one gives you something for free...

I too recieved this phone call yesterday.  The man's name was James Lee and he was calling from CGC (Canadian Gifting Center).  I was to go with my husband to 216 Chrislea Rd., 2nd floor, Woodbridge.  He passed me to the senior manager, Rohan Persaud, who arrange an appointment, gave me a table number, as well as a gift claim ID#.  He also told me his phone # (905) 595-4591 and the head office phone # (647) 259-8804, both of which did not work.  They have no website and all of the information I have seen about this company is that it is a scam and that if you try to decline they just get really mad and might even threaten you and your family since they have all of your information (name, address, annual income, phone#, etc.).  I do not plan on attending this however if they call me back again I will definetely be calling the police.  If you get this call, please do not give them any information!!!  They already have a bunch of information and they really shouldn't have it confirmed or have any additional information given to them.
