It depends on what province you are in, if it's ontario it's 2 years that they cant sue (other provinces are 6 or 7 years, check your local gov't statue of limitations). but they can always request a payment on an account no matter how old it is.  After the statue of limitations they just can't take action to collect.  hope this assists others.

Yes, received a call from this number (905) 480-13420) and it is the same people global collection agent, I didn't answer but when I got calls from the  pass from a collection agent and it was rogers, I spoke to someone in person and told them this as i did work for a insurance company in the pass ad did volunteer for the police. I said to them this , i need your authorization to record this  and i am telling you are only allowed to call one time a week that is seven days if you need to got a hold of me, you can e-mail me, if you can't me that is your responsibility , if you decided    to call me more than ounces I will have you charge for harassment  and sure your company, if the person does agree to your verbal voice contact, you know have to power. But you have to record it and say these words, 1 do you agree  to this recording, 2 state your name, position and the company you work for, 3 do you understand the agreement we have, 4 if the person doesn't agree to the verbal contact, tell need call from your company i will be calling the police (also they can be charge for invasion of privates. So please pass this around ( you have right to).  

I have had hundreds of messages from this number and 1-+1 877-342-3271 and now (604) 210-2905 as well as calls that show up on the display as UNKNOWN.  They're all from the same outfit...Global Credit.  A lot of people have indicated they've been harrassed about a debt they supposedly owe to Rodger's and others it's been Bell Canada.  I have never answered a call from these people and the messages are like everyone else's who have posted here and even threatening legal action against me if I do not "comply".  Some of these messages have been recordings and others have been live calls.  One person indicated his name was Sean.I believe this is a pernicious scam and and in their most recent message left they have instructed me to "press any key on my touch-tone phone to connect with one of our agents" which is a very devious way for the unscrupulous to be able to upload spyware onto my phone.  Every call or text I send or receive can then be monitored and my personal information stolen.  Therefore, I refuse to answer these calls.I have put a very terse outgoing message on my phone and if these people do not cease and desist with the calls and threatening messages then I will be having a chat with an officer at my local police station.These people need to be charged with harrassment.  I don't think it is a coincidence that so many people across the country are being deluged with these calls.  It is a vicious, organized scam and it needs to be stopped.

I 've just got a cell phone line with Chatr and now I started getting calls from this Global Credit Collections company looking for sme lady who had this same number before with Rogers! Rogerss sold the debt to this collection agency and also let its sub phone company Chatr recycle the number to a new wireless customer and the new customer keeps getting hassles for the debt that he never had! What a way to do business. I also had collection agency calls on our Fido line! Obviously Robbers recycles delinquent phone numbers by downloading these numbers to Fido and Chatr. New innocent customers with these sub companies of Robbers would get hit because they're using these formerly delinquent lines.

These guys were calling me about an account that was real old. You can't expect me to pay for something from 5 years ago!!!  I tried talking to them but they didn't seem to get it.  I googled their company name "Global Credit" and found their website. I sent a request to stop bugging me.  A manager called me back a couple dayslater and told me they were closing my account.  The website is http://www.globalcollection.net
