Thanks to Everyone for your comments. I was able to convince a couple of elderly people the phone number leads to a Telemarketing water heater scam.

Using line for misrepresentation.
Selling water heaters, furnaces etc stating they are your carrier when they are not.
Stating they have reviewed your gas consumption over 2011/2010 when they are not the supplier for gas to your home.
Sollicit over phone and give this number as customer service but no one ever picks up the phone.
Phone number search lead me to you being the carrier of this phone number.

This company has been calling my house several times a day for the past few days. I finally answered the phone and the man on the other end said he was calling from Just Energy. He claimed that his company supplied the gas to my house and I told him that I was with Direct Energy. He then said that Just Energy was the gas supplier for Direct Energy and that a lot of people had the same misconception about who was their gas supplier (I became very suspicious at this point). He told me that my gas usage last year was higher than in previous years and that Just Energy could help me save money with a free offer. He asked me how old my water heater was. I told him it was a rental. Again, he asked how old it was and I told him I didn't know, but that it was replaced fairly recently. He tried to offer me a free upgrade of my water heater. I had to decline several times before he hung up.

I confirm that they are using an illegal automatic dialing machine because they call me about 12 times in a period of 20 minutes and they do it every day.  No human would be dumb enough to do it.

It is useless to block individual phone numbers because scammers change or spoof their numbers regularly.  I have the Call Blocker 10 (see link below) which allows me to block entire area codes and my phone doesn't even ring.  You can do yourself a favour and purchase one.  You should spread the word, and then it's the end of telemarketing scammers !  :-)

Yeah they called me today too but I missed it - too bad for me looks like I missed a fantasrtic opportunity.  If you get these bozos on the phone my recommendation is to keep them talking for as long as possible.  The more time you waste with them the less time they'll have to take advantage of some other poor sucker.  Give them faulty information, ask them tons of questions. appear genuinely interested in doing business with them.  If you want a list of great tips you can use for screwing with boiler room telemarketers - then go to 419 eater.com - or doa  search for "419 eater"  Some great stories there.
